The Story

One homepage for everyone. A personal welcome for each of them.

Most intranets lack a personalized landing experience, something that greets employees, gives them context, and shows what they need to know right now. SharePoint doesn't offer anything that brings those elements together, and customers kept telling us they wanted a homepage that felt personal, on-brand, and more useful. So we built Welcome, combining tailored greetings with the news and updates that matter.

It's for intranet teams who want the homepage to do more than sit there. Pick the Featured, Banner, or Search layout, or build a custom one around your brand. There are three default layouts. Featured includes most of Welcome's functionality, including slides, the greeting message, time, and weather. Banner is the most compact, with just the greeting, time, and weather. Search puts a search bar front and center. Custom layouts are also supported if you want something tailored to your brand.

Welcome uses a third-party weather provider, OpenWeather, to retrieve weather information for each user's location.

In the Featured layout you can automatically pull news from SharePoint sites or manually curate slides. You can also schedule content or target it to specific audiences.

Yes. You can customize the search scope so it focuses on the content areas that matter most, whether that's pages, news, files, or people.

Yes. Every Accelerator 365 app comes with a free 60-day trial through Microsoft AppSource. When the trial ends, the trial license expires and you'll get instructions on how to buy a full license.
